I am so saddened to hear that Chef Conway has passed. He was such a bright light of intellect, humor and genuine caring. South Texas VA also enjoyed his gift for teaching while he was our Chef. He will be missed and is surely in heaven debating something.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Chef Carl, a colleague and friend from Purdue University. Carl's passion for culinary arts and dedication to his craft and students were truly inspiring. He brought an infectious enthusiasm to his classroom and the kitchen, and will be missed.

Love and miss my dear brother, Carl. I'm not saying goodbye but I'm saying see you later because I'm sure we'll see each other again at the family reunion in heaven. Gone too soon. I truly thank God for giving me such a wonderful brother because you were more than a brother, you were also a father figure to us when our biological father wasn't around.
